Draft
Terms of use
These are draft practical terms for using Failure Files, provided by FoodOnomics. They may be revised; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
1. Accounts
You need a verified email address and a business profile to search. Accounts are for individual business use; don't share your sign-in. We may suspend accounts used to get around search allowances or to scrape the service.
2. Allowances
Free accounts include 5 searches per calendar month (UK time). Premium access, when granted by us, includes 100. Each submitted search counts, including searches with no result. Unused searches don't carry over. Requesting premium access does not change your plan until we confirm it.
3. What the information is
Results are automated, unverified extractions from public filings. Amounts are claims as stated in those filings, not proven debts. Failure Files is business intelligence, not credit advice, a credit rating or a prediction, and not a recommendation to trade or stop trading with anyone. Always check the original filing before relying on a result.
4. Coverage
Coverage is partial and changes over time. No result means only that we hold no record in our current coverage.
5. Permitted use
Use results for your own business's credit, risk and commercial decisions. Don't republish results in bulk, resell them, or use them to make claims about individuals or businesses without checking the original filing.
6. Corrections
Report errors to hello@foodonomics.co.uk with the company number and filing. We'll review and correct or remove where appropriate.
7. Availability and liability
The service is provided as is and may change or be unavailable at times. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for decisions made using the information. See also our privacy notice.
